“No stopping here” has been a guiding principle in my life, a mantra I’ve carried with me from childhood into adulthood. Growing up, I would watch my father, Bert Blyleven, a professional baseball player, push himself to the limits every single day. When the hills seemed too steep or the challenges too great, he would point to a sign on the road that read “No stopping here” and remind me that the same goes for life—you never stop reaching for your dreams, no matter how tough things get. This message has resonated with me deeply, especially as I navigate life with the trauma and PTSD that followed the Las Vegas mass shooting. “No stopping here” embodies the strength, resilience, and relentless spirit needed to keep moving forward, to heal, and to help others do the same.
